QUALIFICATIONS: Certification by the Kentucky Department of Education

 

REPORTS TO: Principal/Chief Academic Officer

 

JOB GOAL: To assist with implementation of student interventions academically

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Work with school staff to identify students for interventions.

 

Participate in Professional Development as needed to implement high quality services according to school plan.

 

Develop a written daily schedule of student services.

 

Develop/Revise a plan of interventions to be provided to each participating student.

 

Employ a variety of researched based instructional strategies.

 

Provide interventions for students in collaboration with the classroom teacher.

 

Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.

 

Evaluate student’s progress with the classroom teacher on a regular basis.

 

Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board Policy.

 

Participate in faculty meetings and I-Team meetings.

 

Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians of participating students.

 

Adhere to professional code of ethics as established by Education Professional Standards Board.

 

Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal/Chief Academic Officer.

 

Compile and maintain documentation required for Response to Interventions.
