QUALIFICATIONS: Certified by Education Professional Standards Board, past experience in student activities.

REPORTS TO: Assistant Principal-Student Services or Assistant Principal/ Athletic Director

JOB GOAL(S):To be visible and provide leadership among the extracurricular programs so that all students may have a positive experience in extracurricular and academics.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Responsible to the Principal and works under the direction of the designated Assistant Principal.

2.Observes coaches on and off the field or court in order to make any recommendations to the designated Assistant Principal.

3.Assumes responsibility for the facilities when on duty.

4.Keeps the Assistant Principal informed of any and all matters related to the extracurricular activities program.

5.Supervises assigned competitions home and away.

6.Makes recommendations on facility improvements to the designated Assistant Principal.

7.Responsible for evaluation and observation of all facilities in regard to safety concerns and informs the designated Assistant Principal of recommended changes.

8.Assists in the collection of fundraising requests and final budgets from coaches and sponsors in assigned activities and turns in to the designated Assistant Principal as well as the required paperwork.

9.Picks up money boxes from the bookkeeper when assigned to events and collects the gate and concession money boxes at the conclusion of the assigned event. Money must be counted and proper paperwork completed before turning in the boxes the next morning.

10.Attends Booster Club and individual sport parent meetings as requested by the designated Assistant Principal or Principal.

11.Participates in the evaluation and implementation of Title IX policies to ensure compliance.

12.Collects eligibility sheets from teachers and checks student grades for eligibility as set forth by the KHSAA and the SCBE.

13.Collects data and completes the proper paperwork in regard to local, state, national and NCAA opportunities for financial aid for qualified students, when assigned by designated Assistant Principal.

14.Collects necessary documents to determine what students qualify for academic all-state awards.

15.Collects data from coaches in order to complete the required KHSAA annual participation list.

16.Represents the school in meetings in the absence of the designated Assistant Principal as needed.

17.Secures all physicals and insurance forms required for the particular extracurricular activity.

18.Serves as the “point of contact” for assigned activities (academic teams, athletics, band, etc.).

19.Works with the designated Assistant Principal to secure workers and officials needed for the particular extracurricular activity.

20.Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal or Assistant Principal.
